The CyberStore installation relies on multiple server systems of varying natures. Use the following guidelines to prepare for your meeting with the CyberStore installation team.
Basic high-level CyberStore system guidelines include:
- The CyberStore web server should be separate from the SQL server for both performance and security reasons.
- SYSPRO and CyberStore can share the same SQL server, provided the server has sufficient capacity.
- Often SYSPRO and SQL are on the same server. CyberStore can also share this SQL instance. However, depending on capacity and load, there may be reduced e-commerce performance during periods of extreme SYSPRO load, such as during month-end reporting.
- CyberStore fully functions with either a C-ISAM-based or Microsoft SQL-based SYSPRO implementation. Even so, it still requires a SQL server for its own data.
- Once the initial Site goes Live, we recommend that you create a secondary Staging Site on the same web server. You can use this Site to preview CyberStore upgrades, theme modifications, and/or SYSPRO integration settings changes. Once you stabilize these changes, you can safely migrate them to your Live Site.
