Internal Web Service for Use with AJAX

The CyberStore application now has an internal web service through which the application makes asynchronous AJAX calls to CyberStore data and business logic.

jQuery AJAX Framework (#7525)

Built to improve user experience, the jQuery AJAX framework loads as part of every page in the system. As new features become available, they have access to use the new CyberStore internal web service.

Important Note:

The CyberStore internal web service requires HTTPS communication to function properly.

The absence of an SSL certificate or the use of a self-signed one returns no results when called.

Be sure your CyberStore SSL certificate is installed in IIS prior to trying to use features enabled with AJAX.

In Version 2.13, the following features use this new framework:

ShoppingCartQuickEntryControl: Makes extensive use of AJAX to create a true quick entry tool for adding Items and quantities to the Shopping Cart.
