Full support for TLS 1.2 was released in the 2.15 release of CyberStore, however if your configuration requires compatibility before you are able to perform a full upgrade, and your CyberStore version is 2.5 or greater, you can deploy a TLS 1.2 hot fix to your site.
Important Note:
Changing your CyberStore's TLS version will require that your SYSPRO server environment is able to support the same version as well. This establishes a new pre-requisite on your SYSPRO server in order to properly communicate with CyberStore.
What is the impact of this change?
- Your users may not be able to successfully complete credit card payment transactions on sites using Authorize.net or PayFlowPro.
- When calculating freight charges using real-time rating from UPS, FedEx or USPS, you may not be able to receive rates which will make certain shipping methods unavailable to your users.
- If the TLS version is configured to resolve communication with the third party links above, and your SYSPRO server is not configured properly, your site will lose its connection to SYSPRO preventing pricing, inventory, order placement and order history features.
How do I know if I will be impacted?
If any of the following are true, you may be impacted:
- You use Authorize.net or PayFlowPro for real-time credit card processing,
- Your site gets real-time shipping rates from UPS, FedEx or USPS, or
- Your SYSPRO server is not configured to support TLS 1.2.
How do I ensure my SYSPRO environment is ready?
- In order to support the latest version of TLS your SYSPRO server must be running Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) or better as it's operating system.
- You must ensure that TLS 1.2 is enabled on your server. To determine this, and configure it to be so if needed. We have contacted SYSPRO Support about this requirement and they have a solution available if needed which you can receive by opening a ticket at support@us.syspro.com.
- If you just setup TLS 1.2 to be enabled, your SYSPRO system will require a reboot.
- If your system is already setup for TLS 1.2 you will not need to do aything on your SYSPRO server.
How do I get the TLS 1.2 Hot Fix for CyberStore?
Visit CyberStore Patches page on our website to download the TLS 1.2 HotFix for CyberStore v2.5+ package.
Once downloaded, unzip the file and follow the instructions contained in the README.txt file.
