In order to complement certain sales user stories, it is now possible to configure both Categories and Items to include a Surcharge Fee when purchased.

As a CyberStore pricing construct, surcharges are calculated from the Web Price calculated and then either increases the line price, or creates an additional (miscellaneous) line for the item affected.

Surcharge fees are setup in Item Maintenance for individual items. Categories can also be setup with surcharge fees that affect all items linked to the category. This is manged in Category Maintenance.

 

  

 

When Surchage Fees are setup as Miscellaneious Charges will display in the shopping cart as additional lines, as seen in the example below where a surcharge fee is used to handle a "bottle tax" user story.
