Traditionally, the CyberStore business logic reduces inventory quantity for an Item by the number of that item that may be present in the carts of all other shoppers. As a result quantities may be considered prematurely allocated away from the current shopper when in business practice allows them to be considered as still available.

This feature creates the mechanism to optionally allow a site administrator to configure CyberStore's business logic for handling inventory quantity reduction/allocation by either including or ignoring items in carts and/or at what point allocation can be considered.

In Site Manager > Catalog Configuration and within the Quantity Settings the  to set the new "In Progress Allocation Basis" setting.

 

The setting has two options:

• Select All Active Carts to include quantites for all items in all carts for all other shoppers including those actively in the process of checkout.
• Choose Carts Only in Checkout to only include quantities of items that are actively in the process of checking out.
