Pricing in CyberStore
Shoppers encounter pricing in product listings, item detail pages, featured-item and Hot Buy presentations, the shopping cart, and checkout. Before an item reaches the cart, pricing controls and widgets select the values appropriate to the current customer, quantity, currency, and UOM.
Price values
The following diagram shows how the principal price values relate as CyberStore determines the amount to present.

| Price value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Default Price | The unit price for the site’s Default Customer. It is the only base price available to an anonymous shopper. |
| Customer Price | The unit price returned for the active Customer. |
| Discount Price | The Customer Price after an applicable SYSPRO discount. |
| Web Price | The lowest applicable SYSPRO-derived price after a CyberStore item, category, or accessory discount. |
| Savings | The difference between the highest price the shopper could have paid and the price actually paid, shown when the applicable display rules permit it. |
| Line price | The transaction line value sent to SYSPRO; it is distinct from the labels used to present comparison prices in the storefront. |
The Default Price is the list or comparison price. Customer, Discount, and Web Price values represent potential base or selling prices. Which values appear depends on the shopper and the visibility rules described in Access to Pricing.
Item-detail presentation
An item detail page can combine the applicable labels to show the shopper a comparison and the final Web Price.

The exact labels and optional elements depend on site, Customer Class, and pricing-control configuration. The price placed in the cart remains the lowest applicable selling price even when a comparison price is not displayed.
When a price changes
Changing the active Customer, requested quantity, currency, or UOM can require a different price. Cached pricing can also need to be refreshed after source data or pricing configuration changes. See Populate Price Cache for the controlled rebuild operation and Customer Pricing for customer-specific cache maintenance.
